Set the dark force is symbolic of the balance which fights the enemy of ra, the apopis or ho opis. Set as a dark energy s the only worthy one which can fight with the dark chaos or the anti matter or Anti creation force & forms order. 

Osiris the ultimate balanced energy which creates material realms is always the king of visible higher & lower realms.

Osiris the one which reborns after being killed by set & raised from dead by the protector of gate between material & spirit realm, God Anubis the yamraj.

Osiris symbolizes that nothing in this world dies but reborns in changed form in other realms. He symbolizes how even God's have to follow the laws of eternal Ma'at. However, the hidden messages also says that the one with pure souls are always kings in spirit realms & get higher realms & are reborn as the masters of space & beyond. 

Osiris or Ausar is the one deeply associated with different forms higher & lower forms of shiva, Rudra, pataal bhairav. He is the original Lucifer.

The ancient Khaos, the new age Chaos Beyond the Genesis, there was no energy or matter or time but there was pure energy as essence. That was chaos. I feel chaos magick is one of the most ancient ways. Yes, it is new age cyber punk magick revived by few but. Think about ancient egyptian philosophies of Nu the ocean of chaos beyond time. Also, Ancient Greek mathematicians etc. Think about old cults of discordia & Eris. The cults which were based on cosmic concept of Khaos beyond time and space which is unknown. This Greek Khaos is ever present essence of cosmos in it's original form, which is formless, timeless, eternity. I feel that makes the chaos magick, the most ancient philosophies of intellectual ones.
